Emmanuel Apostolic Church Portmore

Our History

In February 1993, Faith Fellowship, Emmanuel Apostolic Church – Portmore began with weekly Wednesday night prayer meetings at the Passage Fort Community Centre. These weekly meetings continued for almost a year. The thirty-six (36) member strong group was headed by the then Elder Everton Thomas, who has since been consecrated to the office of 'Bishop'.

The group sought direction from God concerning the ministry by fasting every third Saturday, at the former Forum Hotel. Shortly thereafter, we had our first Sunday service in the Passage Fort Community Centre.
